Assessment or evaluation in psychology (Psychological Assessments) is applying structured measures (psychometric tests, questionnaires etc) for further investigation into a specific query, this can be for the legal context (psycho-legal or medico-legal assessment) or for further consideration of an individual (psychological assessment).
The assessment tools used then depend on what the need for the assessment is. When conducting an assessment I carefully choose the instruments I use in order to investigate certain hypotheses. This means I apply only what is indicated and each assessment will differ depending on the need.
I conduct psycho-legal assessments (medico-legal assessments) and psychological assessments with children, adolescents and adults.
